Instruction Session Request Form

Information literacy is a set of abilities requiring individuals to "recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information." (http://www.ala.org)

Rebecca Crown Library Faculty are available to teach instructional sessions to acquaint your students in the use of specific library resources needed for course work and research. Instruction sessions are also available on an individual basis to faculty members.

    Please keep in mind the following:
    • Instruction will be most effective when the session is tied to a specific assignment and is offered at the time when students are preparing that assignment
    • Please give the staff at least one week notice to allow adequate time for scheduling the appropriate classroom and for the librarian to prepare for the session
